I really just don't know where this year has gone. My summer was just non-stop. In July we had a wedding to go to, so I decided to make a card. I don't make that many cards but I do enjoy them. What I like the most about making cards is that you can use a lot of scraps. We were giving a gift card so I made a little holder on the inside cover for the card. I used my cricut to cut out the word forever and its shadow. With a prima flower and a few embellishments from my stash, the card came together pretty quickly.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Lisa F. I really liked putting this together. I have one more picture to add but just haven't found the right one. I cut paper for each of the openings with my Cricut, inked the edges, & then pop dotted the pictures in front. Mostly everything is Prima (paper, flowers, butterflies, & pearl swirls). The charms, metal flowers, & stick pin was just things I had in my stash. On two of the corners I took a piece of cardstock and used a punch along one edge (either MS or Anna Griffin), I had some lace with pearls on it that I added along the edge, & then embellished on top.

Have a great day.

Lisa F. We will not be seeing them for Valentine's Day so I have already put them in the mail to them. The only thing that I actually had to go out and purchase were the tin boxes themselves. All the other stuff (paper doilies, flowers, embellishments, buttons, and ribbon) was already in my stash. I filled each with candy and I know they will enjoy them.
I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day.

Lisa F. Well, every January we get together at my sisters house for a weekend of fun. This will be the 3rd year that we exchange recipe layouts. They are a lot of fun to do and we have a very nice collection of recipes. This year my recipe is a Pork Chop Casserole. It is really good and this layout was so fun to do. I used my Cricut a lot for this layout. From My Kitchen is the cart I used for all the utensils, stove, and title. The paper is by October Afternoon (Modern Homemaker). I was having trouble trying to decide how I was going to outline the title, because there was no shadow feature for the words on the cart. I tried inking and chalking but it did nothing for me. Then I remembered that I had the markers to use on the Cricut and that was the ticket. I will be using these again. Have a great day.

Lisa F. My sister is having it at her house and I volunteered to make a memory frame, for the people that have passed. I bought a regular frame at M's, it had a picture in it, I pulled out the picture and the glass. I bought a roll of cork and glued that to the cardboard backing. Then I bought a piece of satin material and placed that in the opening of the frame. I found a little cross, flowers, and some tulle, and just started glueing it all around the frame. On my cricut I cut a scroll frame for Home Accents and the word Memories from Heritage. Used the mirror paper for those, added some bling, and some little Prima roses. I also Glimmer Mist some little plain white roses from M's in the bridal section and glued them to the tops of plain tacks to hold the pictures in place(forgot to take a picture of those). But all in all I think the frame came out good. Thanks for looking.

Lisa F. I really did want to sit down many times and blog, but something always seems to happen. I have been doing some scrapbooking. I will try to post on a regular basis. I bought the Gypsy when it first came out on HSN and I have to say "I LOVE IT". I use it on pretty much every project I do.

Since getting it I have been wanting to make my own wordbooks. Well I finally dipped my toe in the water so to speak and it is AWESOME. I have a neighbor and a relative that are having babies soon, so here are the two books I made . I just use cereal boxes for the middle of each page and by the time you put your cardstock and paper its thick enough. I have a Bind it All machine by Zutter, first time using that tool also. The paper for both books is Little Yellow Bicycle and one of the books has a TM baby pin attached to the bow.

I really enjoyed doing these books. I'll be blogging again soon.

Lisa F. It is our last DT meeting tonight. BUMMER!!!!! I can not believe that this year has gone by so fast. I had such a wonderful time being on the DT. I feel like I have learned so much from the other ladies on the team and our wonderful teacher Melissa. I want to thank both Melissa and Janet for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this fabulous experience. The other ladies on the team are the best. We had so much fun at the meetings. Some of the groups nights were a real challenge because we had to finish a complete layout before leaving. I had never made a layout that fast, but we were paired up with another member and it all seemed to come together in the end. It was great.

Now on to my final DT layout. Our challenge this time was to actually use a sketch. I have never really used sketches in the past, but I must say I enjoyed it. We had 4 to choose from and the sketch was actually a one page layout that we had to make into a two page layout. We were given a few embellishments from Webster's Pages and told to use new paper.

Here is my layout:

This is my daughter when she was 16 months old(she is 27 now). When I received the blue cameo I know what picture I was going to use. I love the Webster's paper and all the new embellishments they have.

The gold backgound and blue/white paper is from the Webster's Pages, so is the fabric tag, lace and cameo. The flower paper is SEI, gold Bazzill cardstock, and Tattered Angel tile. I painted the tile with my Ink Pots.

All the flowers, leaves, gold scrolls, gold butterfly and blue bird are Prima. I have Jenny Bowlin buttons. Stick pins and ribbon for the tags. I inked the edges of all the papers & tags. Sewed one end of the lace to gather it and pop dotted a lot of the embellishments. I have to say I really like the way this layout came together.

Thanks for looking! Lisa

Lisa F. I spent the whole weekend with my favorite group of ladies the Mamarazzi's. I know most of you know who these ladies are, but for the ones that don't ........ when we get together there is so much sisterhood, laughter, craziness & a little scrapping. We all have our own styles but are willing to help out each other. I want the say a big THANK YOU to Sam for opening her home to us.

I saw this done on the message board for Cricut. They did a black vinyl frame with an initial in the middle. Since my grand daughters are having their own room now I decided to make them one. They are 3 and 4 yrs old so they go around calling themselves Princesses and they are.

The frame and the crown are from either Storybook or Dreams Come True (can't remember). I welded the design together on my new Gypsy. I love this little machine. I don't know all the ins and outs yet, but I will learn. The thing I like the best is I did not have to bring all my carts with me, just the Gypsy and my Cricut.

After putting the design on the block is when the real fun began. I was able to bling to my heart's content. I cut the backs off of some brads, put pearls, and lots of bling. I have pink tulle inside with a short string of clear Christmas lights. But I think the vinyl will show up better if I put white tulle inside. Just didn't have any on hand. I bought the ribbon and my friend Connie made the bow.

They also have the stands to set the blocks in. I had a great time making this project. I will be making one for my grandson's room. I will be posting other layouts I did this past weekend later. I even did my DT layout. That one you will have to wait until the 18th.

Have a great day.

Lisa F. The pictures are from last year when my grandchildren were here. This year I will not have any pictures because they moved to Mississippi.

The products we were given were a Prima Iron on, Canvas, Tim Holtz Distress Stickles, a Prima Pebble, and Prima Stem. I used mostly everything, but sometimes not the way it was given to me. I did not iron on the tree, I pulled the truck off and used it as a branch, I glued it down on a black piece of cardstock and cut around it.

The Prima Pebble had a butterfly which was really hard for me not to use, since I LOVE BUTTERFLIES, but it just did not go with the layout. So I stamped some little bats on a piece of canvas with StazOn and glued it to the pebble. I also used the canvas for the moon behind my flying witch and I stamped some candy corns on the canvas, painted them, stickled them, and glued them to the bottom.

A lot of things are cut with my Cricut. (spider web, spider, fence, flying witch, & pumpkins)On the spider web, spider, and flying witch, I used the TH Distress Stickles. I used glitter paper for my pumpkins. All painting was done with my Ink pots, including the canvas ribbon on the book.

The card stock for the back is Bazzil, the fence was cut out of Core Paper, it was Black with a grey backing, I sanded it so the grey would show. Along the side edges I used Robin's Nest-Halloween Swirl, under that Creative Imaginations-Trickery Black (cut in half), the cover on the 7 Gypsies book is Reminisce- Candy Dots, the orange in the middle is Dots w/Zig Zag by Little Yellow Bicycle, the stripe paper behind the pictures is Haunted Skinny Stripes by KI, and the words on the pictures and the book were cut off a sheet by Little Yellow Bicycle called Halloween words.I added a few Halloween buttons and shredded a cotton ball to put on the fence.

Have a great Halloween!!

Lisa F. The coordination paper is at the bottom and I tried to make it look like sand. I tore it and chalked the edges, then I crumpled the paper and sanded all over to make the lighter color come through. The circles that I punched out were embossed, distressed, and then I used the Smooches sparingly over the embossing. I cut a starfish with my Cricut and covered it with buttons. I used Thickers for the title and made a little journaling block.

Lisa F. Where did the summer go? In our meeting the other night on the 26th, Melissa said someone told her that in four months Christmas would be over! OMG!!! Every year it just seems that time flies faster and faster. Maybe I am just getting older and older. HAHA
I am blogging today to show ya'll a little book I put together for my Nanny. She has been and is still one of the strongest and kindest people ever. She has always been there for me and I love her very much. A few weeks ago she was told that she has Alzheimers. It is in both parts of her brain. While she is still fine now, we do not know how fast or slow this awful disease will progress. She is on meds and is holding her own. We went down to Houma about a week after I found out and I went to see her. I tried to have this finished before we left but could not, so I will bring it to her the next time we go.

The cover says Memories forever with the heart in the center, I want her to know that no matter what happens I believe the heart never forgets.

The pictures on these pages are of me when I was very young and of my wedding day. That's Parrin and Nanny (brother & sister) with myself and Marcel. The book is not very big and is not overly fancy but I wanted to make her something. In the book I wrote her a letter and even though I have said it a million times I told her again how much she has meant to me. Don't wait to tell your special people you love them.

Have a great day, Lisa

I cut the book with my Cricut @ 5 1/2 ", I used Webster's pages, and alot of embellishments I had in my stash.

Lisa F. I live in Youngsville and there is a development called Sugar Mill Pond that is along the same lines as River Ranch just a little smaller scale. I have only been here 5 years and this subdivision started after I moved here. They are always having different activities and anyone is invited to attend. Since I live right across the highway we go to some of the activities. Every year they have what is called Reaux for Miles Dragon Boat Races. It's to raise money for the Miles Perret Center. I had never gone before, but this year my husband and I decided to go. It starts very early in the morning and there are all these groups there to race to help raise money for this center. It's wonderful to see the boats gliding across the calm water. Some teams are very serious and some are just there to have a laugh. But one thing is the same across the board, they are there because they care!!!

I enjoyed taking pictures that moring and knew I would have to do a layout. I used Bazzill dotted cardstock, K& Company paper for my matting of the pictures, I put together different swirlie stamps in the bottom corner, stamped a few dragon flies, stickled on top those, bling, and took different fibers and twisted them together for the dragons fire. A couple of the dragonflies are stickers that I put on black cardstock cut them out and then used the Perfect Pearls to give it a stained glass look.

Lisa F. One of the members flew in for the meeting which was held at a hanger. Even though the weather wasn't that great he took the boys up in his plane for a quick flight around the area.

I had a great time doing this layout. I used my Cricut for the title Take Flight and I cut out the plane using the new cart Stand and Salute. I tried to duplicate the plane as best I could. I was even able to read the numbers off of the picture and put it on the plane. The background paper is Little Yellow Bicycle. The only thing I want to do is add a tag somewhere for journaling.

Lisa F. I do not know where the summer has gone. My grandson stayed with us all summer and we had been very busy trying to keep a 7 year old entertained. I was trying to post all of my layouts in one, but I guess I had to many pictures. So I will have a few different post today. First I know I am behind but for those of you that didn't get to go to TM crop weekend in July you missed a really good one. I was only able to go for the classes and not the crop but the classes were awesome!!! I have not put pictures yet on the layout taught by the TM teachers but it came out great. I still have to finish my canvas b00k taught by Donna but the techniques we learned in that class, all I can say is WOW. The Glitz Girls class was really fun. They are very cool. I had to bring my grandson with me to the store for this class and I must say he was very good. For the first half of the class no one know he was in the kitchen area playing, he was so quiet. He took the group picture with us and I told him that later on in life he will come to appreciate that photo. HAHA Enjoy the layout and more post to come.

Lisa F. BUMMER We just had to turn in a layout.

Can I just say that this is probably my favorite layout for my challenges so far. I know the pictures do not do this layout justice. Normally I do not praise my own work, but I really enjoyed doing this layout.

I just LOVE the new Heidi Swapp resist chipboard and invisibles. If you have the little ink pots, these two together are a match made in Scrapbook heaven. haha Then throw in the fact that I had one of my cute little grand daughter's in the layout. Once I decided what pictures I wanted to use, it all came together pretty easy.

For this challenge we had to use Heidi Swapp Resist Chipboard Sheet, Invisibles, and Chipboard shapes. The 4 challenges I used were:

1. use ribbon or strips of ribbon

2. Curl, fold paper and ink, distress.

3. Use lace

4. Create a 3 dimensional embellishment

I used Bazzill shiney cardstock for my bottom layer, then I painted the resist chipboard sheet with Cerulean Blue ink pot, let it dry some, then wiped the whole thing with a dry paper towel, where the swirls are the paint is wiped away, leaving the white. Matted my pictures with Bazzill white card stock.

For the ribbon ruffle, I sewed two layers of ribbon one on top of another with a gathering stitch and attached it with double sided red line tape.

The daisy border was cut on the Cricut (Walk in my Garden) I cut out a green card stock base, inked the edges, then I cut out the same daisy with the Invisible sheet with the polka dots. Used the ink pots on this also, Lemon Yellow and Frost White. Wiped them off, curled the edges of the flowers and pop dotted them to the base layer. The centers of the flowers are some epoxy stickers I had in my stash, from I don't know where. But I thought they finished the daisys great.

The title was cut out with the Cricut (Cutting Up) and pop dotted. The butterflies are HS chipboard shapes and were done with the ink pots also. I stuck pins in them for their antennas and pop dotted them on the layout.

The tag on the layout is something I had in my stash. I wrote Sara's name and the date(that's my journaling) But I did add some ribbon and a Heidi Swapp Crystal.

I had some lace that looked like little daisy's, so I cut them the length of each picture, pop dotted them on top of the pictures and added some bling to the center of each flower.

I hope ya'll enjoy the layout. Have a great day.

Lisa

Lisa F. I just could not get into this assignment. I am usually finished my layout not long after our meeting. Not this month. I finished the layout today, actually this afternoon. OMG .... I am usually never at the last minute. I had a hard time picking out pictures. But our grandchildren came last week and we had fun. Pulled my camera out and got a few shots in.

This month I had card stock, ticket embellishments, Buzz & Bloom chipboard, and Bazzill borders in my kit. I used Best Creations Paper, I love this paper it is so colorful. I inked, chalked, flocked, and used ink pots. I made my own scallop paper using my Cricut and the words in my title are also cut using the Jasmine fonts and my DS. The scroll chipboard is flocked (bling added) and the birds were painted with the ink pots and the wings are stickled. I used the ticket embellishments and the Bazzill borders to make frames around my pictures. The tickets were painted with the ink pots and the borders were chalked. The centers of the flowers are brads, I put glossy accent on top and covered them with beads. I added a few buttons and the wire swigglies are clips stretched out a little.

I hope you have a great day. It's been ready for a little over 2 weeks. I did it early because of the Mega Crop. On the 10th of March, my husband & I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. So last month when Melissa gave us our assignment I thought I would do a layout of us. I had the Teresa Collins paper line (red, black, cream, and white), so not my colors. But I am very pleased with the results.

The title was cut out on the Cricut using the Storybook cart and I chalked around each letter in black. I distressed the edges of the clock and the corner cut outs. Then I inked all the edges and the card stock buttons with Staz On Black.

Here is a list of the challenges and products used.

We had to use at least 4 out of 10 challenges. I do like the way both of these came out. The layout is of pictures I took on our vacation last summer in Tennessee. On our way up to Klingman's Dome the wildflowers were in bloom on the side of the mountain. I saw Tim Holtz do this technique on QVC awhile back. So I tried it on these pictures. I made a black and white, and colored copy of the same pictures. Glued TH fragments onto the color picture with glossy accents. After it was dry I cut around the fragments and glued it onto the color picture in the same spot. I really liked to effect it gave. I used Basic Grey for the matting, letters, and tag. Bazzill cardstock, brads, and I chalked the letters. I cut the flowers on my Cricut using the Walk in my Garden cart and cut 3 sizes of the same flower for each. I pop dotted in between each layer.

The tag was done with the BoBunny Birthday paper and sticker sheet. I added the brad, ribbon, and fiber to give it a dimensional look. I pop dotted the paper and stickers. After I stickled everything, on both sides. I will use this tag for my grandson's birthday coming up and then put it on a layout for his birthday party.

Lisa F. It was wonderful! Janet and her staff of teachers, workers, helpers, and Mark (Janet's brother) were AWESOME!!!! The only complaint I have is that the weekend flew by to quickly. I know it takes a lot to put on an event like they had this weekend and it takes a long time to prepare and set up. But you ladies and gentleman ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! I know ya'll are probably not even wanting to think about this right now, but I can't wait till the next time.

If you read my blog you will be hearing a lot about the Mama's or Mamarazzi's. This is a group of ladies that I scrapbook with. There are 8 of us and we always have a great time when we get together. If you think any of my layouts are good its because of the talented people I have the pleasure of keeping company with. They are great and we as a group always help, compliment, correct, and when asked are ready and willing to give suggestions, and opinions (good or bad) about what the other is working on. One is my true sister and the others are my very best sista's.

Now, on to the layout. I put this together for all of us. Our logo for our group is a camera, so I used my cricut cut them out, cut out the middle of the circles, put our pictures in each, cut out a blackout shadow camera, and pop dotted them. On my DS I used the Mickey Font's and put together my title. I cut this out of regular white card stock, used the new ink pots, and when that was dry I put glossy accents on top. They layout is on the core card stock and I sanded the edges to let the white come through. There are all different types of flowers, bling, rub ons, buttons, ribbons, and fibers. I did my layout before the event and put together a kit for each of them. They worked on theirs at the event.

I will be posting more of the layouts and tag I worked on this weekend later. Until then have a great day!!!!!!! Lisa

Lisa F. What would you like everyone to know about you? Well, I am 47 years old, my husband and I have been married for 30 years. I am originally from around the Houma area, we moved to Youngsville almost 5 years ago. I have one daughter, and two sons. I have 4 grandchildren (1 boy and 3 girls), they are wonderful. I am a stay at home Mom now, but I worked at a bank for 14 years. I enjoy working in my yard, cross-stitching, reading, and cooking. But I must admit that Scrapbooking is my passion right now.

What is your scrapbook style? I guess my style would be classified as Shabby Chic, but I have no rhyme or reason to my style. I just continue to put stuff together until I am happy with the results.

How long have you been scrapbooking? I started collecting products about 9 years ago, but actually really started scrapping about 6 years now.

Who do you scrapbook? Anyone and everyone. I started when my children were older (daughter is 26, one son is 23 and the other is 16)so I really need to go back. I have done some of the older pictures for each of them, but I still have a lot of catching up to do. But I don't let it stress me out. I also scrapbook my grandkids and my "Mamarazzi's". We have a group of about 8 of us that get together to scrapbook and we have lots& lots & lots of fun. We go to different scrapbook events all over and we have a great time.

Name your top 3 tools. Cricut, Herma Dots, and Pop Dots.

How are your inspired to get started on a layout? It is all about the pictures. If I have a certain picture I want to scrapbook, I will look until I find the right things to go with it.

Do you have any great tips to share? I don't know about great, but just do what you like. There is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. Don't be afraid to try something new and always ask if you have a question.

What is your favorite 3 embellishments? I have always loved the acrylic letters ( the ones that use to come in the soup can). I have used those on many layouts. I love flowers (size, shape, it doesn't matter). All the BLING (whether it be words, shapes, or just individual).

What is your favorite paper line? If I had to pick one it would be Basic Grey, if all else fails BG, but there are alot of other really great lines out there. Little Yellow Bicycle and BoBunny.

What is your favorite way to journal? This is what I really lack in. I don't like my own handwriting. So a lot of my layouts don't have journaling on them. If I do jounal I will either print it on the computer or write it on a tag and slip it behind something ( hidden journaling).

Lisa F. It's the TM Mega Crop Weekend and I have been counting down the days. I don't think I am planning on getting much done, but it's just going to be nice to get away.

Also this Sunday is our youngest sons birthday. He is turning "16" OMG. I made him a card before leaving for the megacrop because I would not have time when I got back. Of course it could not be to mushy or over the top because he is 16 after all. But I like the way it came out. I used Little Yellow Bicycle Zach's Life, Cricut carts Graphically Speaking & Mickey Fonts.

I also finished my layout for the next DT challenge. I can't wait to post it. But Melissa would be really mad if I put it on my blog to soon. HAHAHA

Have a great weekend and I hope to see all of you in Breaux Bridge.

Lisa F. We are able to post our layout for the TM Design Team. I think this will be one of the hardest ones to do. There were no challenges or guidelines for this one except, it had to be about me and my style. I have never done a layout about myself and I am really not sure what kind of style I have. I usually just try and put things together until I like what I see.

I have been going to TM for a little over 4 years now and know from seeing the Design Teams layouts from previous years that at one time or another we would have to do a layout of ourselves. So, when my friends and I got together in January, I had Sam take some pictures of me. I am the one usually behind the camera, so this was not an easy task. Thanks, SAM!!

For those of you who know me, even if my picture was not on this layout, you could pick it out as mine because of the colors and the things on it. I had fun doing this layout even though it was a challenge. I made it for her birthday in September. When my daughter Amie was little was when the Care Bears first came out. She had everything Care Bears. We have some book from then and that is what I used to try and have them as close as possible to the originals. I cut about 90% of this book with my Cricut. Could not have done it without that machine. Each bear has 5 layers (Outer layers are the Bazzill shiney, 2 layers of white paper that comes in your page protectors, and the center is a layer of cereal boxes or any other type of box I could get my hands on). The cereal box idea came from my friend Heather Bares, she makes a lot of her own little books that way. Thanks, Heather

The only things that were not cut on the Cricut are the rainbows(done with my coluzzle), the clouds (sizzix), and the moon (free handed). I didn't show the backs of each bear, but that is where I put the pictures from her party and the embellishments. Also each bears name is right at the bottom of his tummy. I used the Cricut DS to weld the letters together. I really enjoyed making this book and this is something Emily will have for years to come.

Lisa F. I have been trying to organize my office/scrapbook/sewing/computer room. Needless to say its a job. There is just to much stuff in this small room. But, I will make do. I will post some pictures of things that I did a while back. In this first one I took the idea from Joleen at TM. She had made a gift card holder and it was on the website. It could not have happened at a better time. I had alot of gift cards I was giving for Christmas, so with a bunch of scraps and some embellishments I made these gift card holders for my family. Hope you enjoy. I hope it turns out OK. As many of you know I am not very savvy when it comes to computers, but I am learning. I am soooo excited about being on the Design Team for Treasured Memories. We are having our first meeting tonight and I can hardly wait. It will be nice to get together and be able to challenge ourselves. I know we will learn lots of really cool thing this year, Melissa is a FABULOUS teacher. I know she will make us think Outside the Box. Because of her and Wendy's classes this weekend, I have finished all my snow pictures. I will try and post the pictures of the projects. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I hope I get better at this blog thing.

Lisa F.
