For My Nanny

Hello Everyone,

I still can not believe that school has started. Where did the summer go? In our meeting the other night on the 26th, Melissa said someone told her that in four months Christmas would be over! OMG!!! Every year it just seems that time flies faster and faster. Maybe I am just getting older and older. HAHA
I am blogging today to show ya'll a little book I put together for my Nanny. She has been and is still one of the strongest and kindest people ever. She has always been there for me and I love her very much. A few weeks ago she was told that she has Alzheimers. It is in both parts of her brain. While she is still fine now, we do not know how fast or slow this awful disease will progress. She is on meds and is holding her own. We went down to Houma about a week after I found out and I went to see her. I tried to have this finished before we left but could not, so I will bring it to her the next time we go.

The cover says Memories forever with the heart in the center, I want her to know that no matter what happens I believe the heart never forgets.
The pictures on these pages are of me when I was very young and of my wedding day. That's Parrin and Nanny (brother & sister) with myself and Marcel. The book is not very big and is not overly fancy but I wanted to make her something. In the book I wrote her a letter and even though I have said it a million times I told her again how much she has meant to me. Don't wait to tell your special people you love them.
Have a great day, Lisa
I cut the book with my Cricut @ 5 1/2 ", I used Webster's pages, and alot of embellishments I had in my stash.

  1. What a thoughtful and beautiful gift, Lisa! She will love it. My grandma has Alzheimer's. It's sad. But I think you're right, inside she knows who I am. Best wishes!
